Karen, or anyone else. I know I split my dose in one swoop..I did feel like crap for a while until my body adjusted. For someone needing to split their doses up throughout the day to avoid interdose withdrawal..should this be done gradually, or is it ok, to go from lets say 1mg of k (assuming 1mg is your usual dose) in the morning..to 3 or more equal doses throughout the day to equal that 1mg..or should it be split up gradually over a few days or a week?
I had to split mine up because my doc had me taking the whole dose at one time..while I was not getting interdose WD, IT was suggested I split it up so when I do get lower in my taper I can avoid the interdose WD
Im asking in hopes of having this info here if anyone else needs it.
The first thing a person always needs to do is split their doses up in to 4 equal doses, dosing every 6 hours and it is fine to just do it because you are not reducing so at the end of the day you would be still taking your whole dose.
If it is Valium, some can get by with dosing every 8 hrs but the rule of thumb is always to break up your dose into several equal doses, there is no way to reduce a dose by just doing it once a day or by doing it to just one dose......
Hope that is clear as mud to everyone......haha
