Withdrawing from benzos hits our lives hard. We come to these boards sharing our situations as these things change. Benzo withdrawal is done in the context of changing daily life. Sometimes new challenges appear even in the best of withdrawals. We must deal with these before committing to helping out here on the daily basis. Sometimes mods have to take time out to manage their own challenges. I have been in that place even though I am well finished with withdrawing from benzos,
Shawn is now in that place. He has offered timely help to others. He became a mod in order to facilitate that work. Now he finds that life is making heavier demands on him. He must take time out from moderating.
Shawn has been dedicated to quickly responding to those in need. We thank him for this as he leaves moderator status for now. Shawn will remain a member here, and we hope that he will check in frequently to tell us how he is doing.
Many thanks, Shawn, and we send hope for your quick recovery. Jana
(I corrected a minor spelling error oversight as Jana has asked me to do this for her in the past as she sometimes has trouble with her vision. I would never alter the content of her posts, or anyone elses' as far as that goes. I tell you this so if you see edited by John on any of her posts, you well understand why.)

Shawn, sorry to see you pulling back but we all understand. Take the time you need to heal and I look forward to you posting your progress. Good luck and thanks for all you've done.

Hey Shawn,
I hope you are ok. Do what you have to do. It is what it is, and we just have to do what we can, take care of ourselves first and forthright. That's the number one priority of benzo w/d. As the others have said, I to hope you will stay in touch to let us know how you are, and how your progress is going which I pray is good!
God Bless, Cheryl |
